WHY JOIN THE WFSV?
One of the recognised purposes of the Wine and Food Society of Victoria is the maintenance and development of its cellar. Currently our cellar holds over 2300 bottles, and whilst a large proportion are from the great wine regions of France, we also collect wines from some of the best renowned new and old world regions around the world.
Our Cellar Master purchases wines for cellar and when they are ready for drinking perhaps five to ten to fifteen years later, they are released to our functions at historical cost.
There is a once off joining fee of $600, with an annual fee of $300 (so the first year incurs a $900 cost).
Other benefits members receive are:
- Preferential entry to our functions
- A discounted price for the member and their partner
- The opportunity to invite guests to those functions that are open to guests.
The Society has at least one, sometimes two functions per year that are for members only.
